Press Play in the frame above to start Bound By Insanity in your browser. Nothing installs and nothing needs unpacking; the build is served straight to this page. It is the free opening act of a yandere visual novel that has earned a 4.9 average across 270-plus ratings, and it is a longer sitting than most demos — plan for an evening rather than twenty minutes.

What you are getting into

This is a reading game. There is no combat, no puzzle layer, and no stat management. You advance dialogue, watch sprites shift, and occasionally answer for a protagonist who is very much her own person rather than a stand-in for you. She has a defined personality and appearance, makes her own mistakes, and the writing is perfectly happy for you to lose patience with her.

Two men shape the chapter. Miles is the boyfriend you already have — a forensic pathology student, funny, impulsive, and carrying physical proof of what he has done for you, including a scarred lip and a repaired collarbone from an accident he absorbed on your behalf. He also helped you escape a partner who hurt you. Bound By Insanity uses all of that history as the reason his grip is so hard to name as a problem.

Adrien is the other thread. Quiet, low-voiced, oddly familiar, and introduced as someone you met in college. That is not true, and the chapter takes its time letting you understand why.

Controls, rollback and saves

Advance text with a click or the space bar. If you skim too fast — easy to do in the calmer stretches — roll your mouse wheel backward and Bound By Insanity rewinds to the line you missed, or open the history log from the quick menu to scroll back further. Auto and skip toggles sit in the same menu.

Use the save slots properly. They live in your browser for this page and survive closing the tab, but clearing site data or reading in a private window wipes them. Saving before anything that feels like a turning point is worth the two seconds; the closing stretch of this build has a habit of sending readers back to an earlier slot to reinterpret what they had already read.

The game also keeps memories and per-character galleries, so illustrations you unlock during the chapter can be revisited from the menu without replaying.

Pacing

The first hour is deliberately ordinary — classes, small talk, ambient rain, a relationship that reads as merely intense. Bound By Insanity spends that time teaching you what normal looks like here so it can take it apart later. Once the tone turns, it does not turn back, and the demo ends unresolved because further acts are still being written.

Because there are only a couple of real decision points, there is little value in replaying for branches yet. The reason to return is re-reading, now that you know what the early scenes were actually showing you.

Content warnings

Bound By Insanity is intended for adults only and it does not hedge. Graphic violence, gore, explicit blood, murder and death, kidnapping, imprisonment, suicide, psychological abuse, emotional manipulation, toxic relationships, explicit language, and possible erotic content all appear. The story presents these things as harm, not as a model to follow. If that is not your evening, the videos on this page give an honest sample first.

Page note

This is an unofficial browser-play page for Bound By Insanity. The game, its writing, characters, art, and related intellectual property belong to their respective owners. The page simply keeps Bound By Insanity easy to launch and return to, with videos, screenshots, and content notes in one place.

Bound By Insanity FAQ

How do I start playing?

Press Play in the frame at the top of this page. Nothing installs. The first load pulls in a lot of art and audio, so expect a wait before the menu shows up, especially on a slower connection.

How long is the demo?

It is a substantial sitting rather than a quick taster — players routinely describe the demo as surprisingly long for a free first act. Budget an evening, and use the save slots if you need to stop.

I clicked past a line. Can I go back?

Yes. Roll the mouse wheel backward to rewind the text to whatever you skipped. There is also a history screen in the quick menu if you would rather scroll the log.

Are there multiple endings?

Not in this build. The demo is close to linear with only a couple of choices, and it stops on a cliffhanger. Branching decisions about who the protagonist keeps are set up here for later chapters, not resolved.

Do my saves stick around?

Saves are stored by your browser for this page, so they survive normal closing and reopening. Clearing site data or playing in a private window will lose them.

What should I know before starting?

It is an adults-only story containing graphic violence, gore and blood, murder, kidnapping, imprisonment, suicide, psychological abuse, manipulation, toxic relationships, explicit language, and possible erotic content.

Will it run on my phone?

Use a computer if you can. It may open on mobile, but the build is heavy, the text gets cramped, and phone browsers sometimes drop the session partway through a long read.
